Master Naturalist

The Maine Master Naturalist Program (MMNP) is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven enterprise that trains people to become citizen-naturalists. Graduates are expected to actively seek opportunities to share their newly acquired knowledge of nature with people of all ages in Maine. Participants in this rigorous and highly selective course of study engage in 100 hours of in-depth training and more than 200 hours of practice as they learn about Maine’s ecological systems, plants, animals, insects, geology, conservation biology, and related topics.

Susan is on the Board of MMNP and will co-facilitate the 2020 training of a new cohort of students.
